Making the move from lead acid to lithium batteries was long overdue. If you’re into long sessions or adventure trips like me, you know the struggle of lugging around 20kg batteries to power fridges, electric outboards, laptops etc. Lithium batteries solve this issue by being half the weight and doubling the usable power. For instance, a 105Ah lithium battery weighing 10kg roughly matches the capacity of two lead acid batteries at a ridiculous 40kg! That’s a weight saving of 30kg! Given that I typically carry 4-6 of these lead acids on long trips, the benefits here are huge. To top it off, Fogstar batteries come with a built-in Bluetooth BMS, allowing you to monitor charge, cycles, health, and condition from your phone. This makes managing your batteries so much easier, especially when swapping out and running low.
