Salagou monster moggy 🐈‍⬛ 🐟 Apologies for the GoPro screenshots! Our last night after a quick visit on the red banks of this incredible lake and at 3am my left hand rod tore off! I could tell immediately this was a catfish after being towed around like I was playing a shark for 20minutes in the boat. My first flash of the beast under the headtorch threw me as for a second I thought it was a giant mirror but I was soon back in my box when a 6ft long slimey old catfish came wallowing alongside the boat. We did manage to find the carp on the morning of our last day/night but at 3km away at the far end of the lake and we didn’t have enough battery left in the boat to make it there 😭 A big 24mm cultured scopex squid and a 15mm cultured popup was the downfall for this behemoth.
