Everyone says ‘love will heal your wounds.’ Here’s why that’s wrong.

We’ve been told that the right relationship will heal our trauma. That love will “fix” us. That if we just find the right partner…one who is patient, understanding, and gives us enough love… we will finally feel whole.
But this is a lie.
No one else can heal you.
You can be in the most loving, conscious relationship, but if you haven’t done the inner work, your wounds will still run the show. You’ll project, sabotage, and seek validation instead of true intimacy.
Healing is an inside job. It’s your responsibility. Not your partner’s. Not your lover’s. Not your future soulmate’s.
Love isn’t a bandage for unhealed wounds. It’s a mirror. A magnifier. It will show you everything you need to face.
So instead of searching for someone to heal you, ask:
❓ Where am I abandoning myself?
❓ What wounds am I hoping someone else will fix?
❓ How can I give myself the love I crave from another?
