Public Dialogue with VinFuture Prize Laureates 2023. Possibly one of the most high stakes events I’ve ever MC-ed 😅 Very grateful for the opportunity to sit down with scientists like Prof. Martin Green (founder of PERC solar technology that helped improve efficiency by 50%), Prof. Yoshino, Whittingham and Yazamin (behind rechargeable, safe Lithium-ion battery widely used today), Prof. Susan Solomon (whose research on the Antarctic Ozone led to the Montreal Protocol) and more. Left feeling inspired by their perseverance and endless curiosity, and very optimistic for what the future holds. My only regret is that the panels were not double the length as there are so many interesting snippets of the laureate’s stories that we didn’t have time to unearth. Note for next season: It’s impossible to truly get to know someone’s story in 45 mins, especially if there’s 5 people on the panel… #VinFuture
