Is there really a “best” time to work out?
Let’s talk FUNCTIONAL, not just trendy. 💡
🌅 Morning workouts are my top pick if your goal is FAT LOSS.
• Cortisol is naturally higher in the morning, which can support fat metabolism.
• You’re more likely to stay consistent when you “win” the day early.
• Better insulin sensitivity = your body uses fuel more efficiently.
🌙 Evening workouts can be amazing if you’re trying to BUILD MUSCLE or GAIN WEIGHT.
• Your body temperature and strength often peak later in the day.
• You may lift heavier, perform better, and stimulate more muscle growth.
• Post-workout meals in the evening can support recovery and healthy weight gain.
As a Functional Medicine doctor, I always say: the best time is the one that matches your biology, your goals, and your lifestyle—not what social media says.
