Today we celebrated our Ondine Valentina’s 3rd birthday! She woke up the happiest little girl, saying “I’m so happy to be 3!” and was quickly greeted with a homemade double chocolate cupcake Joel had stayed up baking the night before. We spent the first half of the day at the Nashville Zoo and got to see a stunning Sumatran tiger, zebra, a black bear, and Ondine’s favorite, a small North American turtle... Joel and I realized that we have brought Ondine to the zoo at each birthday. Last year, I was 9months pregnant wobbling around the LA zoo and the year before we brought our sweet little one year old Ondine to the Santa Barbara zoo.
