A visit to Turn End, - new on our blog. A radical 1960s home quietly tucked into the village of Haddenham. Part of our ongoing CPD relating to conservation architecture. Designed and built by Peter and Margaret Aldington, it’s one of the UK’s few postwar homes listed at Grade II* , a cluster of three modest houses, shaped by hand and deeply in tune with their surroundings. Still lived in by the Aldingtons, Turn End offers timeless ideas for contemporary rural homes: a restrained palette, a garden designed as part of the architecture, and a layout that is flexible for family life.
