Currently at the preliminary design stage, we’re exploring how to reinstate the elegance of this Grade II listed 1850s house, long subdivided into flats, and return it to its original use as a single family home. Set around a quiet garden square in a particularly characterful part of Primrose Hill, the property is part of a square known for its classical stucco façades and generous proportions. The square has long attracted literary and artistic figures - Sylvia Plath among them and retains a distinctly bohemian spirit today. Our design approach is focused on preserving the building’s historic integrity while introducing thoughtful, contemporary interventions for modern family life. This includes restoring original layouts, improving flow and light, and upgrading the building fabric - all within the constraints of listed building legislation and conservation area guidance.
