Georgian Restoration When we first bought and moved into our Georgian Grade II listed home it had been sadly stripped of nearly all of its period features. In this room, the original single glazed beautiful arched window was original but everything else was missing. As the window is very high, fitting curtains or a blind is challenging and woukd have taken up a lot of space. We designed new shutters, ones which could be opened either half or full to allow for varying degrees of privacy. We researched what types of decorative mouldings would have been used and added these to frame the window and provide a framework for the shutters to fold into.
