NUMBERS I have a stupid compulsive fascination for numbers. If you drive around the World the long way for 80,000 km and would look constantly left to right with a maximum 5km view which is the limit til the horizon, you would theoretically see 800,000 km2. This is only 0,5% of the land surface. In reality, you would probably see only a fraction of this because your view is obstructed and you cannot see up to the horizon, because you would focus on the road in front of you, or you would not look left and right all the time. So between 0,2 and 0,5% would be very humbling to anyone who thinks he has seen the World. This is also the beauty of it, no matter how dedicated you are, you will never be able to see the whole world. Roaming the World is an endless journey. Only fools would think they had seen the World because they have only been around.
