33,333 km (20,700 miles) Livingstone (my car) and I have done some 33,333 km (20,700 miles) together now in Africa. What have I learned so far? Well, the perfect car doesn't exist in my opinion. It's all about compromise. Any benefit from a particular piece of equipment has a tradeoff. So in the balance, you just need to know what's important to you. Weight vs comfort? Ease of use vs reliability? New technology vs hard-proven technology? And so on. I love my car, I have made a few tweaks, and changed some equipment but will never claim it's the best overland truck in the World. I believe in humility for a start. I also believe that nothing is perfect and can always be improved. Finally, what is good for me may not satisfy the needs of someone else. Can Livingstone still be improved ? Probably a little but not by far if I want Livingstone to do what it has been built for: a 3-seater cruiser to cross remote locations off-road.
