Forget DATA, I wish I had this in my PhD One of the best items I ever purchased was not some special FBS bottle. Or a multichannel pipette (although that is a really useful). It is actually good quality footwear especially if you are working long hours in the lab. Sometimes we (annoyingly) have to work 12/14 hour days back to back on your feet between different labs (on minimal sleep). So save your legs, save your knees and invest in decent footwear.
