As a Recovered Perfectionist, I know how hard it can seem to let go of Perfectionism.
▪️The need to prove yourself through every single detail
▪️Getting stuck in chronic procrastination cycles and then working in a frenzy at the last minute (anxious feelings through the roof)
▪️Constantly expecting more of yourself and dismissing any good results that come your way anyway.
It was an exhausting cycle 🔁
nothing was ever enough.
But for us to achieve our career goals AND actually believe we are deserving of them, we have to be willing to let go of the idea of ‘Perfection’.
We need to strive for excellence instead.
And we need to establish our “good enough” metrics.
Even in the most demanding of professions - where mistakes can be serious, perfection is not the answer.
It’s time to release the pressure valve.
Even just a little makes a big difference.
