Very commonly, the cartilage reserve has already been used, the remaining cartilage can be more fragile, and the nasal soft tissue envelope may be scarred or compromised from prior surgery. Additional challenges we may face include asymmetries, weakened structural support, internal scarring/adhesions, and sometimes functional issues such as persistent nasal obstruction. For that reason, revision cases often require careful planning and rebuilding support to achieve a stable, natural-looking result. At 2 months, healing is still in the early phase—swelling (especially in the tip) and subtle changes can continue for many months as tissues mature. Individual results vary.
