Does it surprise you that we can do many hand surgical procedures with just local anesthetic…and that many patients actually prefer it? 😷 I do offer sedation for all of my hand & wrist procedures if the patient desires it. However, surprisingly most of my patients opt for the local only so they don't have to fast before the procedure and they can drive themselves home if they want.
