While more data is needed, there are some studies suggesting that EMFs (electromagnetic fields) can potentially interfere with sleep (PMID: 39534742). However, there are no studies showing a direct causal relationship between EMFs and cancer; however, the WHO (World Health Organization) has classified EMFs as “possibly carcinogenic”.
😴 Regardless, we started turning our Wi-Fi off at night about two years ago. More recently, we bought an automatic timer which makes it easy. It's kind of nice that the Wi-Fi goes off at 9 PM because it also forces me to stop watching TV or using the computer at that time, which makes it easier for me to get ready for sleep.
🚨 Do you turn your Wi-Fi off at night? If so, let me know in the comments why you do it.
