If you rewind to my Olympic training years, the people in that room were part of my pursuit whether they knew it or not. The fruits and vegetables they grow are what fueled the early mornings, the double workouts, the rehab sessions, and the 55-second races that took years to prepare for.
So getting to stand in front of a community that quite literally fuels performance? That felt pretty special. So thank you Agritourism Ontario and the Ontario Fruit and Vegetable Convention for having me speak this morning.
We talked about what it takes to keep showing up with excellence when you’re building something that depends on weather, people, timing, and a whole lot of moving parts. The willingness to adapt, experiment, and keep learning is exactly what allows these businesses to thrive and welcome others in.
And to the team behind the scenes, thanks to Marta Moher and Speaker Spotlight for the partnership on such a fun event.
