We introduced Dena Care Collective to assist families affected by the Eaton Fires. Recognizing that government, foundations and the private sector aren’t experts in delivering aid, we delivered a single point of entry system that can be scaled easily across different jurisdictions, organizations and programmatic efforts (saving time and money). Experiencing such devastation is already traumatic! It’s unreasonable to force families to maneuver through various (outdated) systems to receive assistance. May better systems to support people rebuild emerge from the ashes of this devastating fire. People deserve every system to rise to the occasion! Every system should be wrapping support around families - what was once impossible is now possible.
