The Word of God is STILL clear on fasting, praying, and giving in public. Just because it’s now a cultural trend on social media to broadcast your “works”, doesn’t mean it’s pleasing to God. Matthew 6:1-18 gives instructions from Jesus on giving, fasting and praying in secret in contrast to those that do this publicly, which is equated to pride, which Jesus referenced the “religious hypocrites”.
