1️⃣ You start craving healthy food instead of non-nutritious food.
Veggies, complex carbs, protein, healthy fats.
When your body gets used to feeling better from this kind of food, you start to look forward to more nutritious meals and snacks.
This isn’t to say you won’t want the odd cheeseburger and fries or whatever treat you want, but you’ll start to associate higher quality food with better performance and energy, which will train your brain to look for more nutrient dense options.
2️⃣ People may judge you (and LET them).
This could be randos, or other athletes, colleagues, or even family members.
You know what? It doesn’t matter.
You’re eating better in order to FEEL good, not to “be good”. That’s a big mindset shift that makes eating better actually stick, as opposed to being on/off the diet wagon.
3️⃣ When you don’t fuel yourself well, or indulge too much, you will notice its effects WAY more than before.
Your gut is trainable and will adapt to what you eat.
