Do you psych yourself out by building your opponent up in your head *before* you even step on court?!? When you’re up against an opponent who seems to “have it all”, it’s natural to become distracted & overwhelmed by what they do well. It’s important to be aware of an opponent’s strengths, but try not to let yourself become intimated by them! Remember: lots of players seem good until they are under pressure! For example: 👉🏽A good mover can look smooth… until he/she gets tired and movement breaks down 👉🏽A shot player looks fantastic… until his/her options are limited and given no time/space 👉🏽A confidence player seems unbeatable… until you get a string of 2-3 points on them and break their momentum. You can also analyze specifically in more detail as well: ❗️Maybe your opponent has a great forehand volley at shoulder height, but struggles when the ball is lobbed slowly above their head. ❗️Maybe your opponent attacks from the front when you open the court up too quickly, ...
