The Rear Foot Elevated Split Squat alone won't improve your movement, but it will help you build a solid strength foundation to feel more stable on court.
Why?
Because, it requires:
- Single leg strength
- Balance and core engagement
- Massive emphasis on glute & quad engagement
- Ankle mobility
PLUS, I love this exercise as a more back-friendly alternative to back squats- which are usually an exercise which you use to "load up" your lower body.
Make no mistake- this is an advanced exercise, but one in which you can make massive gains with very little "orthopaedic" risk.
PS. This exercise is going to be included in the upcoming Squash Shape program- which is a 6-week training & nutrition program (where you get individualized coaching and feedback!).
If you need some structure and accountability with your fitness training and nutrition habits, this is the program for you.
Squash Shape starts on Monday, September 23rd! Check the link in my bio for more info and to sign up :)...
