I wish someone told me this sooner ⬇️
Starting medical school as a graduate-entry student, I thought I was ready — after all, I had a whole degree behind me. But the truth is, nothing could’ve prepared me for how mentally and emotionally tough this journey would be.
These are 3 lessons I had to learn the hard way:
1️⃣ You’re not lazy, you’re just scared: you don’t feel like doing it because you’re afraid the result will prove you’re not good enough. I’ve been there. If you just take the first step, I promise you’ll see — fear is just an illusion. If you keep rowing, I promise you’ll go further than ever before🚣♀️
2️⃣ You have WAY more time than you think: if you spend just one day recording where your time goes, I promise you’ll realise how much time you waste on things that don’t move the needle or maybe even make you happy⏰
