Day 3 of Vlogging Until I Become a Doctor🩺
We often fear failure because society tends to view it as a reflection of our personal shortcomings. Interestingly, our brain’s habenula is responsible in demotivating us after we experience failure which is why we feel like giving up after a setback.
So how do we learn from failure?
We can change the way we see failure through cognitive reappraisal (an emotional regulation strategy)!
By consciously reframing each failure as a chance to grow rather than a sign of incompetence, we can reduce the negative emotional impact of setbacks, which in turn allows us to stay more focused and motivated! This positive emotional state promotes better memory retention and problem-solving, allowing us to learn faster! ðŸ§
A lesson a day keeps failures away ;D
