I chose this poem over any devotional song coz this poem is closest to my heart. Growing up, I often said the person I dedicate this poem to will be just me in another body. (You are me and I am you). I think I have only dedicated it to one person so far in my life. I have never met anyone who knows every word of the poem but life does shock you in many ways and you meet people who move you. The poem was originally composed by Sahir Ludhianvi dedicated to the love of his life and I learnt this during my travels. The closest I have come to say “you are me and I am you” is to the great saint whose life inspires me every day with his simple teachings and his service to the world 🌎.
