Have you been sold a dream in a pill?
I know I have.
Let’s face it. Most supplements are a waste of money.
People selling them promise you the world but only a few have been shown effective with research.
The word ‘supplement’ is defined as: ‘a thing added to something else in order to complete or enhance it.’
I see so many people jumping on trends, copying people at the gym or taking something thinking it provides a shortcut.
Here is a basic supplement stack that will get make the biggest difference:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- creatine monohydrate (3-5g/day)
- beta alanine (2-3g/day split into multiple doses to avoid a annoying tingling)
- caffeine (2-4 mg/kg 30-60 mins before workout)
- multivitamin (just a general one that covers 100% of needs)
- vitamin D3 (if low sun exposure take 2000 IU/day)
- fish oil (aim for ~2g of EPA/DHA)
*protein powder is excluded from the post as it’s actually classed as a ‘food’.
