THE CRISTAL CEILING Growing up in the global south has its own structure; probably we grow up with the idea of not being enough, probably we might face the uncertainty of a life with rejection, probably we will not be part of the elite. We learn by force to look back, to fear the success, to expect failure, we develop a perception that very much is formed by limiting beliefs, by self-imposed traumas or guilt. That guilt of being born, raised, bred on a certain way shapes our character many times influenced by the idea that in life we will never be happy. We get used to a cristal ceiling that we don't dare to observe, that we fear, that we assume is stronger than ourselves. As a practitioner of disruption, I've always believed that we need to look straight to the eyes of our limitations, our challenges, our fears. It's been a while since the moment when I decided to look up to that glass ceiling I was unable to break, to tell those fears that they will never ever again rule my life...
