Les Jardins d’Étretat perched high above the sea on the majestic cliffs of Normandy, where nature and art speak the same language. In 1905, the celebrated actress Madame Thébault, inspired by Claude Monet, planted the first tree on these cliffs. She named her villa “La Roxelane”, after Roksolana (Hürrem Sultan) the legendary wife of Suleiman the Magnificent in Constantinople.
