We are thrilled to honor Fernando Ayres✨ Everyone loves Fernando oni_ayres Fernando first walked into JCTC and said he wanted to meet “whoever was in charge.” He lived nearby, dreamed of becoming an actor, and wanted to learn everything “theatre.” He had just one night to learn tech and he did. That one night turned into years of dedication, growth, and extraordinary commitment to JCTC. Today, every artist who has worked with Fernando from international festival guests to local performers say the same thing: there is absolutely nothing Fernando can’t do. Jersey City Theater Center has been the longest job Fernando has ever been part of, and we are so proud to call him family. Through JCTC, he has teched more than 30 shows and expressed himself across multiple disciplines: acting, theater tech, stage management, carpentry, puppetry, directing his own projects, stand-up, visual art, and more.
