Ben LoPiccolo benlopiccolo is a visionary… Ben comes from a family of immigrants and Italian craftsmen. His father worked as a union carpenter building Twin Towers at the World Trade Center. Ben encouraged Olga Levina to start the theatre company in Jersey City where he was working on renovations of historic properties. Ben knew about Olga’s passion of telling diverse stories through theatre and arts and suggested to start the theatre company in Jersey City that reflected its rich cultures and communities. Together, they founded Jersey City Theater Center with a shared vision: to build a theatre company that tells diverse stories of people and unite them across backgrounds, cultures, languages, and generations. Over the years, Ben has grown his own company, BLDG-UP into a respected development company & led the meticulous redevelopment of White Eagle Hall, restoring the historic venue into a vibrant cultural landmark and anchor of Jersey City’s arts community.
