Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo
#bppv is one of the most common cause of vertigo - producing brief episodic spinning elicited by head position. Calcium debris from neighboring inner π structures is dislodged in one of the semicircular canals (SCC) causing disruption of fluid low. This results in brief asymmetric vestibular signals as the head is moved into a dependent position. Patients experience vertigo and exhibit a characteristics nystagmus pattern related to the affected SCC π§ π π .
