The 2025 Met Gala promises a remarkable celebration of culture and fashion. Co-chair by actor Colman Domingo, Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton, musician and fashion icon A$AP Rocky, musician and designer Pharrell Williams, and Vogue’s Anna Wintour. Basketball legend LeBron James will serve as honorary chair. The theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” delves into Black dandyism and the transformative power of style in Black culture. Inspired by Monica L. Miller’s book Slaves to Fashion, the exhibit will showcase garments, artwork, and photography that honour the evolution of Black identity and self-expression through fashion from the 18th century to the present.
