“There are a lot of children right on the other side of that gate who are not wearing shirts or pants right now, and their bellies are swollen, and they're not eating. And that's not fair,” says Mitch Albom, who runs the Have Faith Haiti orphanage. “If my wife and I can do anything to change that, even if it's a drop in the bucket, that'll be our drop,” he adds. Fifty-six children live at Have Faith Haiti right now, supported by more than 50 teachers and staff. The children range from infants and toddlers cared for by nannies to teenagers living in dorms. Due to extreme violence, most have not left the seven-acre compound in nearly five years. #Haiti #portauprince #mitchalbom #orphanage
