Since the start of the war with Iran, ships that were supposed to cross through the Strait of Hormuz have come to a standstill. One vessel that attempted the crossing was struck by a projectile, setting the ship on fire and trapping members of the crew. Captain Silke Lehmköster, who oversees a fleet for a German shipping giant, says she told her crews not to proceed through the strait “Iran already said that they would attack any vessel that is passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
