The Department of Public Works Roads Division is responsible for maintaining and improving the county road network that residents rely on every day. During this administration, crews have resurfaced 255 lane miles of roadway, with additional miles already scheduled, helping bring many roads out of poor-to-critical condition and back into a regular maintenance cycle.
By coordinating closely with base yard crews across the island, the Roads Division prioritizes areas where repairs and patching are happening most often so resurfacing can be completed where it is needed most. The County also expanded paving capacity by using multiple contracts and crews working at the same time to accelerate progress.
