My Everton #161: Dr Khan’s Marathon Challenge For MND Association ✍️ Dr Usman Khan, Evertonian Full story at evertonfc.com. 🔵 I’ll be running next month’s London Marathon with my son, Conrad, to raise funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association. I’ve been Chair at the MND Association for nearly five years, and it’s been a really significant period of change for the Association. We want to give people hope there will be end to this quite ghastly disease. Six people will be diagnosed every day with MND and 50 per cent of those diagnosed will die within two years – and they will die having developed significant physical disability within weeks of their diagnosis. So, we call it the most brutal of diseases, and I think it really stands up as that. It felt like a nice way we could boost the profile and to continue to raise money, and to mark where my term comes to an end. It’s a voluntary post and I step down in June.
