Although this bird looks like the mix of an owl and a Furby (anyone else remember those from the 90s?) it’s actually a tawny frogmouth. We spotted him being active during the day, which is rare since they’re nocturnal and usually spend their days pretending to be a tree. This one was awake and very annoyed because a koala was climbing a little too close for comfort.
