UPDATE: this is actually white bellied sea eagle! I’m still in the ‘bird/not a bird’ stage of bird identification skills 😂 I took over 6,500 photos (I’m an aggressive overshooter) on this trip and completely forgot I even took these until I was digging through my Lightroom catalog last night. It’s a young Brahminy kite hanging out on the half-submerged trees at Weheragala Reservoir, probably scanning the water for something snackable.
