Spotted this scruffy Plains Coyote at sunset in Rocky Mountain Arsenal. He had scars on his face and a fresh wound on his leg that could have been from a territorial fight, a rough hunt, or just a long week on the prairie. Fun fact I leaned: Coyotes are acoustic tricksters. When they howl, just two of them can sound like a whole pack. It’s a survival tactic that makes them seem way more powerful than they actually are… and lets them crush karaoke night at Coyote Ugly every Thursday.
