Went all the way to Sri Lanka to find the island’s apex predator. After days of searching (and kinda thinking these leopards were a myth) we finally spotted this one deep in the brush. Fun fact: The Sri Lankan leopard is a unique subspecies. They are bigger and stockier than other leopards, with wider rosettes and a richer coat. Shot at 600mm in APS-C mode and still had to crop in more.
