New sport unlocked: Competitive litter picking! 🏃♻️ SpoGomi, a sport that originates from Japan, gives teams 45 minutes to collect as much litter as they can. The rubbish is then sorted, weighed and scored, and the team with the most points wins So of course, we had to give it a try ourselves here at Loughborough, in partnership with carbon_jacked 18 lboroau teams recently gathered in Southfields Park in town for the UK’s first official SpoGomi competition, and Lidia, from the Gymnastics team, took us along for the ride! By taking part, the teams were also competing for points in the University’s Climate Cup, which sees AU clubs compete to be the most sustainable club on campus With this week being sustainability week on campus, there are plenty of sustainable events for you to get involved in!
