Before the awards buzz, Rose Byrne was just a teenager getting her start on Aussie TV. She made her film debut in Dallas Doll, but her first real spotlight came on the short-lived soap Echo Point, where she played Belinda O’Connor, a teen navigating the drama of a show often compared to Home and Away. The series even featured fellow Aussie, Ryan Kwanten, though its cheesy charm only lasted a year on air.⁣ ⁣ Like many Australian actors trying to break into Hollywood, Byrne’s path wasn’t guaranteed, with only a few following the path of Russell Crowe and Nicole Kidman.⁣ ⁣ Decades later, Byrne has proven she’s much more than “always the bridesmaid.” From indie films to blockbuster comedies, her steady evolution has now led to the biggest milestone yet: her first Oscar nomination for If I Had Legs I'd Kick You. 🎬✨⁣ ⁣ #RoseByrne #Oscars #IfIHadLegsIdKickYou⁣ ⁣ 📷: Getty Images
