#HumansOfUpstate Spotlight: Meet Julia Weisner! 💚 For freshman Julia Weisner, choosing elementary education was more than a major — it was a calling. Inspired by her grandmother’s 30-year teaching career, Julia is already building her own path as a Spartan. She has worked in an after-school program and served as a student intern in the chancellor’s office. With these opportunities at USC Upstate, she’s embracing every opportunity to learn, lead and connect. She also launched the Miscellaneous Fun Club, a low-commitment space designed to bring students together through fun, connection and creativity. “I just wanted a way for people to connect without pressure,” Julia said.
