Nebraska men’s basketball is headed to the NCAA Tournament as a No. 4 seed, where the Cornhuskers will face No. 13 seed Troy in the first round on Thursday. It will be the second game of the session and will tip off at 3:10 p.m. (CT) on TNT
Nebraska enters the tournament with a 26–6 overall record and finished 15–5 in Big Ten play, tying for second in the conference. They tied a school record for wins in a season and set a school record for conference wins. The Huskers built their tournament résumé with nine Quad-1 victories this season.
Troy comes in 22–11 overall and 12–6 in the Sun Belt. The Trojans secured their NCAA Tournament bid by winning the Sun Belt Tournament. Their résumé includes 0–4 in Quad-1 games, 2–1 in Quad-2, 5–3 in Quad-3, and 14–3 in Quad-4 matchups.
With a win, Nebraska would advance to the second round Saturday and face the winner of the No. 5 vs. Vanderbilt or No. 12 McNeese
