As winter comes to a close, I’m still thinking about this onsen! Gorgeous in all seasons, something about soaking in the hot onsen baths surrounded by snow made it extra dreamy. Built around the Takara river, you can fall asleep/wake up to the rushing water. We stayed 1 night in a traditional room, they also included a delicious dinner and breakfast. The baths are available 24 hrs a day, so you can soak as much as you want! The outdoor hot springs get cooled off in the winter, but there are indoor ones as well (same gender only).
