A new report from Robinhood found that 1 in 4 New Yorkers are living in poverty. That’s 1.7 million adults and 450,000 children. The poverty threshold in 2024 (when the report was compiled) was $23,304 for a single adult without children and $50,283 for a married and cohabitating couple with two children. This report revealed that more New Yorkers were in poverty than at any other point since the Poverty Tracker began collecting data more than 10 years ago. #NYC #poverty #SNAP #medicaid
