Freeda 🧛‍♀️ The jat people live in the arid lands between India and Pakistan, they often move to follow their flocks in search of shrubs and small thorny pastures. Their lives are all organized around the animals they look after and support from. The advance of drought today pushes these clans closer and closer to cities and inhabited areas. The proximity to modernity fades the tradition. I met this young woman in one of the Jat outposts, she will soon inherit the jewel ring to proudly carry on her nose. The family membership symbol.
