“When dreams come true.
It might not be the most known shark in the ocean, but for me it has been a dream for a long time and now it finally isn’t just a dream anymore.
This encounter at Julian Rocks has been on my mind for years. Seeing a zebra shark, also known as the leopard shark.
Every year these sharks arrive at this small rock formation off the coast of Byron Bay, a protected marine reserve surrounded by the open ocean.
The Zebra Shark is one of the most unique-looking sharks in the world, with patterns that change as they grow from juveniles to adults.
Despite their size, they are incredibly gentle and slow-moving, often resting on the sandy bottom or gliding gracefully along the reef.”
