Crazy to think this moment was 13 years ago at the @burton US Open of Snowboarding. This was the last year the Open was held in Vermont at @strattonresort. The year after, the US Open moved to Vail, CO, leaving a big void in the East Coast scene. These events were so much fun, but also a ton of work. This particular year, I was a camera operator for the Jumbotron with two legends of the sport, @michael_gardzina and @walshmt. We grabbed interviews with pros, fans, sponsors, etc to keep the vibe high. It was super fun and allowed some of us to take our first real bite into event production. Years later, Mary is still crushing the live broadcasting scene and has elevated the sport to the masses.. and Chaka, well, he’s still the BOSS he has always been.
