Gzim Selmani (Rezar) of The Authors of Pain says the team's WWE release in early 2025 stemmed from a backstage argument with a member of The Wyatt Sicks. Speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show, Selmani said the incident occurred during WWE's Holiday Tour in December 2024. "Somebody tried to switch up the match during the match. And that's just a no-go for me, especially if you've just been in the company for a little bit and we were already there for a long time. You don't do that. And yeah, I just had to let somebody know. And that was the end of it." Selmani said the issue was not about the match result but about certain moves the Wyatt Sicks member no longer wanted to take. He did not name who was involved.
